Freeze Dried Raw Diet

Freeze Dried food is shelf stable and should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. You can rehydrate food with warm water, goat milk or bone broth to ensure optimal nutrient absorption. 1 tablespoon of hydration is recommended for every nugget served.

Portioning

If you feed your pet twice daily, divide the total daily feeding portion in half and feed once in morning and once in the evening. Refer the feeding guide on how much to feed your pet. Various factors such as level of activity, age, health, metabolism and breed play a part in feed quantities of all animals. Please be sure to talk to your vet for more specific recommendations.

Clean Up

  • Use different sponges in the kitchen – one for cleaning your dishes and another for cleaning your pet’s dishes.
  • Disinfecting wipes can be used for quick cleaning after preparing your pets food.
  • Stainless steel is preferred to feed your pets – other materials such as plastic and porcelain are porous and can trap germs over time.

Introducing Pet Holistic Freeze Dried RAW Diet to your puppies or kittens

Puppies can be introduced to Pet Holistic Freeze Dried RAW Diet at approximately 4-5 weeks of age. They should be fed 1-2 small (1-2 teaspoons) raw food meals daily in conjunction with either the milk they consume from nursing and/or other foods you may be supplementing.

Puppies should always be fed from separate bowls, as competitive feeding can promote overeating and indigestion.

Gradually increase the quantity of Pet Holistic Freeze Dried RAW Diet every 2-3 days until 8 weeks of age or until weaned. At this point, your puppy can be fed a diet solely of Pet Holistic Freeze Dried RAW Diet.

Factors such as breed, overall health, and level of activity play a part in the necessary feeding quantities of all puppies. Be sure to monitor your puppy’s dietary needs and adjust the feeding quantities accordingly.
